Selena Gomez is an internationally well-known actress and performer. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the largest projects she was a part of and has achieved the most success, is her project. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Her full name is Selena Marie. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mom was 16 years old when she was born. When she was 9 the actress got her first gig in the show industry after she was offered the role of Gianna on Barney and her Friends. This meant she was among many children to have played with Barney, the infamous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena participated in a number of episodes in episodes 7 and 8 between 2001 and2003. As a fun fact: Selena isn't the only one who sang in Barney and the Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato was also part of the cast of the series. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for other films and shows after the end of the show Barney and his Friends. The auditions were not successful. The role she was offered was a minor one in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) and a different one as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. She also was given the role in the role of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
