Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area located in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" area. This West Island, to those not familiar with it, is a large part that stretches from Lachine until the west. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is frequently known as the place where she was born. But she only resided there for a very short duration. Brugel developed on Courtice close to Oshawa located in Ontario. In her early years, she wanted to be the next big thing in her career, but a sudden growth spurt made it impossible. In a recent interview with the Toronto Star, she confessed that "In heels I am 6 feet and 1 inch." As soon as I outgrew my male counterparts then I stopped. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In Brugel's case it was the guidance from her drama teacher in high school who pushed her to the path she required. The teacher was the one who suggested she audition as Anne for their school's annual production. The teacher who suggested that she take on a part in the school's annual show. The show led her to receive the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theatre Program and earned the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Since then, Brugel has been involved in more than 60 shows, large and small. The most notable was the time she was cast as Rita on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was only seen on a few moments in the very first season of the show The Handmaid's Tale. The only Canadian actor.
